Azula of the Fire Nation

Azula is a character from a beloved and popular cartoon known as "Avatar the Last Airbender". This cartoon was aired on Nickelodeon in the early 2000's. In this show Azula is one of the antagonist and she hails from the Fire nation. Within this fictional world she is also a princess and has an older brother by the name of Zuko who also a major character throughout the series. 

I chose to analyze Azula in this blog series because she is a very complex character who has a lot she may have wanted to say or express and never got the chance to do so. In addition, Azula is an extremely motivated character throughout the series and that makes her an interesting analysis for this blog. Azula is someone who I villainized as a child so it will be very interesting for me to try to see her from another point of view as well as to analyze her motives and reasoning. Overall, this is one of my favorite shows from my childhood and it still holds a special place in my heart.
